Have you ever been punished for something you never did? In the play, The Crucible, Arthur Miller allows the reader into the minds of people living in the Salem witch trials, where being accused can end in death. Everything started at the hands of one girl, Abagail Williams, who attempts to make a potion to kill the wife of the man she loves. When she gets caught, she and other girls cover it up by falsely accusing people of using witchcraft, a crime punishable by death. As the situation gets out of control, most of Salem stays blind to the truth, but there are some who discover the blood of innocent people stained on their hands.
