‘Despite an individuals desire to belong to a group or community, this is to always possible’ but possibly nevertheless not belonging can depend on the physical differences of individuals from people in society. This can be seen through two different texts. First one is a short film “Harvie Krumpet” (2003) produced by Adam Elliot. Elliot uses long shot to support this idea. Second text is a speech ‘I have a dream’ (1963) made by Martin Luther King. He uses repetition to display this concept. On the other hand, Belonging is also found in these two texts. ‘Regardless of attempting to fit into a group this isn’t always possible however an individual might still discover belonging when their surroundings show acceptance and find the true identity as a whole.

Possibly nevertheless not belonging can depend on the physical differences of individuals. In the short film ‘Harvie Krumpet’ the scene of isolation of his house and where Harvie and his friend Bogush hang out at school uses long shot to display the sense of not belonging. This is shown in the short film, ‘Harvie Krumpet’ in the scene where Harvie is at the nursing home bus stop. The technique used to demonstration this is long shot. The technique shows his whole nude body which gives a sense of belonging as he has adapted in the area. This also gives us an hint that he is comfortable with the environment and people around him. Belonging is presented in the scene of nudity with a long shot used to show his whole body as he believe himself that it is the same as his home which resulted in having him naked around the nursing home and the bus
