Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet: one of the most iconic stories of all time. The tale, written by Shakespeare, where two star-crossed lovers want to be together forever, but end up taking their lives. We are explained by Shakespeare how and where the two lover’s die, but he never talks about who is responsible for the deaths. Although we are introduced to many characters in the book, it is clear that Capulet is the most responsible for both Romeo and Juliet’s death. However, the person who is least responsible for the two lover’s deaths is Mercutio. Here is why they are most/least responsible. Throughout the book, Juliet’s family wants her to marry Paris. However, they don’t know that Juliet ends up marrying Romeo, who’s family are enemies
