In Arthur Miller’s play, The Crucible (1953), he shows the corruptness of the courts and their influence on the decisions of Abigail Williams. Abby was just a girl, she loved to pretend. She and the other girls of Salem loved it, they danced in the woods and pretended to be witches. That is until they were found by Reverend Parris, after which two girls pretended to be bewitched because they were afraid of the consequences. This is the beginning of the chaos that would consume Salem, ending in almost 20 innocents hung.

Do you not know that God damns all liars?"(3-84), since Danforth is in power for being the judge he thinks that everyone else is ignorant and not being equal as him.
The Shawshank Redemption tells a story of a banker Andy who was accused of killing his wife. He was sentenced for a life imprisonment. But although in the jail, Andy never gave up the pursuit of freedom. The poster of Rita Hayworth was not only used for hiding the hole on the wall, but also represent a wish to be acting as a free man out of the wall of jail.
Running away as a child can be seen as a way to escape. A child can escape their parents, their responsibilities, and society as a whole. Death affects people in many different ways, it can affect the way you think and the way you act. In the movie Shawshank Redemption, Andy Dufresne, who has been sentenced to two life sentences in Shawshank prison for a crime he did not commit. Andy Dufresne deals with the death of his freedom by helping the prison staff, by helping inmates get their high school equivalency, and by digging and escaping from Shawshank prison. Being able to do something you enjoy can give you a sense of freedom even when you are not free. Andy Dufresne deals with the death of his freedom by helping the prison staff and the warden do tax related things, an example is when Andy and his group of friends were tarring a roof and Andy convinced Hadley to give them beer in exchange for tax work.

The federal government or also known as “The Brotherhood” was established to protect those who are their citizen, but truly what are their morals of protection. What if there was a society where God was loved the same amount as His wrath is feared? Well, in the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller, the Puritans were a society who loved and feared God equally. They loved and feared Him to a point where they blamed others for their sins. A group of young girls were caught doing witchcraft in the forbidden woods. The girls put the blame on others so they would not be the ones in trouble and the accused Puritans were all innocent of doing witchcraft.
