The Great Gatsby is a novel by Fitzgerald that describes the life of people and their nature of the 1920's by mentioning Gatsby, Daisy, Tom, Nick and many more. When the U.S economy boosted in the 1920's people were getting hungrier for money. They tried to enjoy their life. Many people came t the cities in search for a job; To have a great life and fulfill their destiny. But for some it was a nightmare. Their hoped shattered. It was the death of American Dream. Gatsby was an indomitable person. H e was always like that even when he saw there’s no hope because he believed people need to find a way. As Gatsby was shocked to see Daisy's child. “Gatsby and I turned leaned down and look at the small reluctant hard. Afterward he kept looking at the child with surprise; I do not think he had even really believed in its existence. Before” (123). Gatsby was shocked to see that child as he didn’t even know it's his. A new tension emerged. His dream was falling apart. He wanted Daisy but didn’t expect she has a child. Gatsby knows Daisy is married but still he wants her and he thinks he can fix all. He says, “ I am going to fix everything just the way it was before” (117). Gatsby believed himself and knew he alleviated everything even though the sense of hopelessness was flying through the air. Both Gatsby and Wilson had goals. Gatsby wanted Daisy and Wilson's destiny was to get over from his indigent life. Eventually both men failed. As Nick says, “ Tom and Daisy as careless people. He says, “ They are careless people. Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together and let other people clean up their mess they have had” (187-188). Nick feels bad for Gatsby, that his goal was to have Daisy and it failed. Nick hates Tom and Daisy and thinks they are nonchalant people. They are greedy and opulent people. They only care about money. Tom loved Martyle but Tom was married to Daisy and he was cheating on her and Martyle was married to Wilson and she was also cheating on her husband. After Martyle's death Tom convinced Wilson as Gatsby the murderer and Wilson kills Gatsby. Tom was totally free. No Gatsby, no Martyle and no Wilson. Daisy didn’t even come to Gatsby's funereal and left with Tom from the town. Daisy's love for Gatsby was fake.
