The symptoms of autistic people vary from person to person, but they are people after all, so why should they be indifferent? In the book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon, a 15-year-old boy, Christopher Boone, has autism, he tries to solve the mystery of who killed his neighbor’s dog. Along the way, Christopher uncovers family secrets and learns to cope with the world's difficulties. The book is heartfelt and demonstrates what it is like to be different in a society that values likeliness.
