Discrimination: What it does to the United States Discrimination has existed in the world since the beginning of cultural societies. Discrimination takes several forms; examples include religious, economic, political, and sexual orientation. All of these forms affect society. As a result, discrimination negatively affects society because of salary/wage discrimination based on gender and age and Muslim student discrimination in high schools. Discrimination has a place in the financials of a person based on their gender and age. A person’s take-home pay varies based on the type of job and position. On average, women earn $706.00 per week and men earn $860.00 per week (Hudiburg 2). Throughout time, money is how people get what they need
