Macbeth's emotions In the play Macbeth written byWilliam Shakespeare, Macbeth goes through many changes. In his pursuit to become king. Macbeth will be remembered for his action during his reign as king and not for his heroic actions he has done. This play was about Macbeth the protagonist who felt remorse after his actions that he has done to achieve what he has been striving for. As the play went on Macbeth felt more confident because of the prophecy that he was told by the witches which enforced his plan to become king. The protagonist Macbeth demonstrates that he is being controlled by the emotions of fear,guilt,and ambition.

Though Macbeth lacks motivation and fear to kill his king his ambition to become king is what is leading him to continue on. “I have no spur To prick the sides of my intent, but only Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself And falls on the other”(shakespeare 1.7.25-28b).
