In the movie Lean on Me, the principle used ethos, pathos and logos in order for the students to succeed.
When Mr.Clark took over the high school, he uses ethos by expelling all of the bad kids that have been there for a long time and all they do is go around and misbehave. Mr.Clark scared the students, and they know now that Mr.Clark wants them to succeed. He does not wanted the students to mess around and to focus on their academics. Another time Mr. Clark used ethos is when he yelled at the teachers because they were not dedicated enough to try to help their students accomplish something in school. He was very upset with the teachers because npme teachers really cared. He could tell that the teachers did not care about their students because of how low the test score are. And they did not doing anything to try to improve on the test scores. Towards the end of the movie, Mr.Clark got yelled from the assistant principal because he was being very harsh to her

He puts fear into the students so they don't end up like the students that got expelled for misbehaving in school. Following this scene, Mr. Clark has a speech to the teachers. He splits the teachers to seventy percent to the students who did not pass the basic skills test. The other thirty percent the passed the test. After he splits them he tells the larger group to put their hands above their hands. Mr. Clark does this for a reason, he says that the majority of the students will have there hands up in front of a gun due to them not passing the basic skill test. If the teachers keep on being undetermined and lack of motivation, the students will be in front of a gun with there hands up. As Mr.Clark has a speech to the students before the exam he uses pathos to appeal to their emotion by calling the people outside bastards because the girl that wants Mr.Clark fired thinks that the students are
