Jake Swihart is a man of character. He was someone who cared a lot about the things you can’t see. He looked ahead and planned out things that would affect him later. He was always focusing on what was to come, making sure he was always going to be financially stable. He really liked to have fun; he was always a jokester when the time was right. When it was time to be compassionate, he was. Always making sure that his loved ones were okay whenever they we in a time of sorrow and always putting a smile on everyone's faces, whether he was related or not. Everytime that I needed a laugh, I would look to Jake Swihart. You are very much missed and far from forgotten.

He didn't smoke or drink at all, he didn't even want to try it. There are reasons behind his morals though. His grandmother suffered daily because of smoking, his father's home life was miserable when his mom would pick up a bottle and start drinking. He always thought about his future and he told himself he wasn't going to make his kids go through that. He wanted to be the first person in his family to never drink or smoke. Another rare moral of teenagers was that he was going ot make sure he wasn't going to have a child in high school. He didn't want to mess up his plan of going to college and getting a job. He didn't want his children to go without, he wanted them to have everything they needed. These morals are everything a young man needs to succeed, except there is one thing missing. He needed someone there to keep encouraging him. He had a girlfriend his senior year of high school and that's when his life started looking up. His grades started getting better, he started to look at things a different way, and he started to believe in …show more content…

People are going to remember the great job he did when he cleaned their car, or the stories of him that the little kids at after school came home to tell their parents. Teammates won't forget what an amazing tennis player he was and how he carried the tennis team for 5 years. Teachers won't forget what a class clown he was and the peppy attitude he had. People won't forget the smile he put on their face. Death is more universal than life, everybody dies but not everybody lives. Jake will live on, in us, and up above. Jake’s favorite actor, Paul Walker said once before he past, “If one day the speed kills me, don't cry. Because I was smiling.” Jake life was gone faster than most, but he was happy and I would like to think, smiling at us right now, see you soon
