This is an example of the author being dramatic over Gatsby's house because the character sat there and stared at it for a while. In this short story the character says, “There was nothing to look at from under the tree except Gatsby's enormous house, So i stared at it, like Kant at his church steeple, for half an hour.”(Gatsby). This is a good example of allusion in The Great Gatsby, because it is saying that Gatsby's house is enormous and they started at it like Kant at his church steeple and that it's an allusion to kant. This is an example of the author using rain as an example of how much stuff is in the room. In this short story Nick says, “When he realized what I was talking about, that there were twinkle-bells of sunshine in the room, he smiled like a weatherman, like an ecstatic patron of recurrent light.” (Gatsby). This shows that Nick made an allusion of it raining inside of his house, but he was talking about all of the lights in the house, but he was also just trying to get Daisy and Gatsbys attention.
