The word Toomsboro enunciates like the word tomb. The word “tomb” could symbolize death. It also pointed out that the house the grandmother wants to visit represents her wanting to live in the past. This provides a tremendous example of foreshadowing. A hearse carries a coffin in a car to a funeral.
