The decision of life and death as always been left to one entity: God. As time progresses, humans wanted to wear the clothes of God. Humanity’s greed and pride have sparked a moral dilemma. Even with virtuous intentions, no human should pass judgment on another over the will of God. Human decisions are tainted by defiance of higher authorities, sins against morality, passing judgment based on events without seeing the person entirely. For instance, an organ worker can move anyone they wish to the top of the list to for an organ transplant. They have the immense power to give life to take it away. For example, they can either chose the thirteen-year-old son of a best friend or a recovering alcoholic who both needs to the organ desperately but the recovering alcoholic is ahead of the boy. Her position is very powerful, therefore there are rules and regulations put on her by higher authorities. Even with Kings and president, there is a higher power put on them. With the king, it is rules of god and nature and with the president, is the people. Like king Creon in the play Antigone, he has rules set by the god and he disobeyed them. He paid the price and faced the wrath of the gods. If she chooses to move the boy she will face the wrath of the higher authorities. It isn’t logical to defy a higher power. There are other means to solve a moral dilemma. One was it just by talking and communicating. Antigone also disobeyed her higher power and face the wrath but she could have easily talked to king Creon and got her wish through those means but she disobeyed and had to face the wrath. They are always another mean of progressing without disobeying. The use of logic must be in play. If injustice is present, it is logically smart to work around higher authorities than to go against higher
