Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are one of the most important characters in William Shakespeare's Macbeth. Lady Macbeth is Macbeth's wife in the story. Both Lady Macbeth and Macbeth commit a lot of felonies in the story, but the question is who is guiltier? After Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth that three witches in the forest told him that he will become king, Lady Macbeth starts plotting King Duncan's murder, at first Macbeth refuses to murder King Duncan and Lady Macbeth starts questioning his manhood until he feels that he has to do it, and later he quickly changes his mind after she says "if you were a man, then you would do it". Later in the story after plotting Duncan's murder, Lady Macbeth plans to kill King Duncan by stabbing him to death with daggers and framing the guards.
