Hebrews 3: God the builder of all things

Not only do Christians claim that their god is mighty and all-powerful but that he also created the entire universe and everything in it. He is said to have created man, beast, nature, and the heavens through his son, Jesus, who later came to earth and spoke to these people himself. If this is all true, then we have a very powerful god on our hands indeed. Not only did their god create a world for them to live in, but he also created their religion, their church, in order to properly serve him. We see these people claiming that some time ago, there was nothing. Nothing but their god and his son Jesus. And then this god “spoke” all things into existence by commanding them to appear. They say that it took him six days to create all of the stars and the trees and the oceans, and that on the sixth day their god created man, and later on created woman. …show more content…

If this is true and this god really can merely speak and the entire universe springs forth, then logically, he would have power over all things. Some of the men teach that “The builder of a house holds more honor than the house itself.” But having heard this, I wondered what these people meant by “god’s house.” Does their god reside in this world? Is Earth simply the house that their god belongs in? Doing more research, I learned that the “house” that the Christians are referring to is the church of the Christians. But then the question presented itself: If these Christians claim that their god resides in heaven, how then could he also reside in the church? According to the Christians and their teachings, heaven is where their god’s throne is, but the church is his kingdom, which he reigns over from above.
