Examples Of How Japanese People Were Treated During Ww2

My essay is about how the Japanese were treated during WW2 by the U.S government and how their actions were not justified. This includes extraneous relocation and illegal search and seizures etc. This was all done when the Japanese men/women in question were totally legal U.S citizens and were supposed to have all of the rights possessed by one.
My first 2 examples will give insight on how the new situations brought about by the government ruined the traditional Chinese family and how the spirits of Japanese Americans were essentially killed. “Japanese men felt emasculated by low wages and women felt shamed in barrack commodes and left exposed when they dressed and relieved themselves.” “Fathers started eating with other men while mothers fed infants alone. Accommodations were so crowded that teenagers left for more privacy, further disintegrating the traditional Chinese family.” These instances give light to the gender roles and how the Chinese family looks and acts now and the changes that happened due to the new government limitations. “Rooselvelt signed the war relocation authority to force 110,000 Japanese and their American born children into relocation camps.” “ They had enjoyed the rights of any U.S citizen; now their own government imposed strict curfews and raided their homes for contraband.” Due to the president giving a direct order to do all of these prejudiced things that violate everything the U.S stands for, we can tell that the government is well aware of the massive amount of issues they are bringing upon innocent Japanese Americans. They even go as far as to claim forced relocation is for the safety of Japanese Americans.
