The nurse is the best character in Romeo and Juliet. She cares the most about Romeo and Juliet. The nurse is the only character that unselfishly cares about Juliet. Romeo cares about her for her physical appearance, her mom doesn’t really know her very well, her dad isn’t a huge part of her life either, and without the nurse, Juliet would be pretty much alone in the world. She also cares about Juliet’s love of Romeo, however, which makes her care about him.
One of the most crucial traits to possess is honesty. We often have the idea of, if we lie it’s to protect oneself or another to what is acceptable in society. If a lie constantly is kept going, in the end you are the one who changes to adapt with it. Which is why the fate of Romeo and Juliet is decided by their level of honesty. Romeo and Juliet continue to lie to their friends and family throughout the course of the play, ultimately dooming them to their fates.
In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the two main characters were lovers who both tragically died together. In the play, several people caused these deaths and one of them was the Nurse. She and the Friar helped Romeo and Juliet, who were just children, get married and when things got complicated and hard, the Nurse did not take responsibility after. She was a close family like friend to Juliet, In Romeo and Juliet, the relationship between Juliet and the Nurse was just a friendship, the Nurse was definitely not a mentor. The nurse had a playful, loving and fun bond with her, she was like a mother to her.
Romeo and Juliet “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life/ Who’s misadventured piteous overthrows/ Doth with their bury their parents’ strife,” (Shakespeare 1.Prologue.6-8). Romeo and Juliet is a play about two young lovers who are bound to fall in love. However, the fighting between their families made it forbidden for them to be with each other.
One example on loyalty is from Inigo’s backstory when his father was killed. “I, Inigo Montoya do challenge you, coward, pig, killer, ass, fool to a battle”(page 132) After Domingo died, Inigo tried to fight the six fingered man, and even though he is only 10 years old and so smol, he does not hesitate to fight this man because he loved his father in their own weird way. This is important because from the very beginning it sets up Inigo's main plot line for the rest of the story, his purpose is essentially to train and then find and beat this man. Another example is from Fezziks backstory and helps to begin his plot line. Fezzik was a wrestler and he didn't want to but his parents believed it was best for him and the family.
It would have been impossible for Juliet to even communicate with Romeo if it weren’t for the nurse. The nurse blindly followed Juliet's orders without thinking of the results her words and actions could cause. Juliet looks up to the nurse who has taken care of her for years. When the nurse provides Juliet with no initial guidance Juliet is forced into making the decision of staying loyal to her husband or staying with her
“His name is Romeo, and a Montague; The only son of your great enemy”(Nurse). The Nurse helps her see Romeo even through she knew that the families hate each other. The Nurse helped Juliet see Romeo even through it was wrong so therefore the Nurse is also to be
Loyalty is a key trait in a healthy relationship, but can it also cause harm? William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet provides compelling examples of how excessive loyalty can lead to disastrous outcomes. In the play, it is shown that when loyalty is taken too far it can turn into blind devotion, causing people to make rash decisions, harming themselves or others. Romeo and Juliet's story highlights the dangers of unchecked loyalty. Loyalty can lead to the demise of individuals and even entire communities.
Loyalty is often considered a positive and admirable trait but it can also have a down side. Loyalty can cause more harm than good and Romeo and Juliet is a perfect example of this. Romeo and Juliet is the story of two lovers whose families are at odds and their feuding is what leads to these lovers' deaths. Throughout the play many characters meet their end because of the loyalty to the houses or to their friends. This includes Mercutio, Tybalt, Romeo, and Paris who all die because of their loyalties.
The loyalty between family and friends can cause people to do things which can have an minimum or huge impact in their lives. In ‘Romeo and Juliet” by William shakespeare, it had lots of issues with loyalty, in which later in the book had caused the two main characters Romeo and Juliet their lives to change. An individual fails to realize the importance of loyalty their family or friends who made an impact on their life.
In William Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet, Romeo, Juliet, and Tybalt display their loyalties by sacrificing for the ones they love. Tybalt shows loyalty by fighting for his family and friends all throughout the story. Demonstrating her faithfulness, Juliet gives up her own life for all the other people in her social group. Within the play, Romeo exemplifies many qualities of devotion by putting himself through pain for others. All throughout the story, Romeo exhibits several attributes of a loyal person by sacrificing many things for all the people that he cares about.
Friendships are tested in many ways. Often, close friends, will come to each other with their darkest secrets, secrets that could be harmful to themself or others, for example, an eating disorder. In these times, the recipient of the secret is faced with a dangerous choice- to betray the friends loyalty and trust by seeking help, or stand back and watch the situation unfold, potentially ending in calamity. Oftentimes, teenagers especially feel bound to keep the others secret, no matter what problems arise.
Lastly, Shakespeare uses Romeo and Juliet to show true love. Nurse shows parental love to Juliet throughout the play. Despite being a servant to the Capulet household, she has a role equivalent to that of Juliet’s mothers and regards Juliet as her own. Even with the fact that Nurse is not the birth mother of Juliet, she still treats Juliet like a daughter. Nurse cares about Juliet and wants her to be happy and find success.”
When Love is True True love is a defendable emotion worth personally sacrificing for. In William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo Montague falls in love with Juliet Capulet, the Capulets being revivals of the Montague family. In the late 1400’s, when the two families are fighting, there is a strict, no contact pact between the two families set by the Prince of the town they reside in: Verona, Italy. From meeting and marrying Juliet, illegally returning from Mantua out of exile to see his supposedly dead wife, and taking his own life to be in heaven where she appears to be, Romeo shows that he is truly in love with Juliet and that he is willing to do anything to be with her.
The betrayal of the nurse by not staying loyal to Juliet in her most desperate time of need caused Juliet to lose faith in her and keep her thoughts a secret.” I think it's best you marry county oh he’s a lovely gentleman, Romeo’s a dishcloth to him”. Hence, instead of staying loyal to Juliet and helping her get out of a marriage the nurse goes against her and insults her husband, this act of disloyalty is what provokes Juliet to keep her plans a secret if the plans were not secret the death could have been avoided. To conclude throughout Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”.
