I have had a lot of interests and hobbies throughout my lifetime from sports to music but no interest has stuck with me since day one like my love for hockey has. Hockey has taught me so much from what its like to be a die hard fan to developing a skill in playing the game.
To begin, with my love for hockey began when I was about five years old when I would watch my hometown Blackhawks games with my dad on television. Watching the games led me to becoming a hockey fanatic and shortly after I began going to Blackhawks games. I remember walking into the United Center and the excitement I would feel at the games even though the Blackhawks were going through a rough time as a franchise with attendance being low at games as well as not

My first time playing hockey was in the heart of winter on a frozen pond located down the block from my house. I went on the pond with my dad and brother for an afternoon of fun and sure enough that afternoon of fun turned into me falling in love with the sport and wanting to play it for the rest of my lifetime. My parents noticed my love for hockey and signed me up for a roller hockey class at my local community center. At first I made a major mistake and doubted myself because most of the kids in my class had already been playing hockey for a few seasons and it seemed like they were on a completely different level than I was. My parents urged me to keep trying and thankfully I never gave up and kept playing. By the end of the class my game was much better and I was finally keeping up with the other kids and from that point on I never looked back and my love for playing hockey continued to grow. After completing the class I joined the youth roller hockey league at the community center. Playing in the league taught me the fundamentals of hockey from basic skills like skating to what its like playing on a team and what it takes to win games and achieve the ultimate goal of winning a championship. Since then I have played hockey on a variety of levels from house leagues to travel leagues. A few accomplishments that stand out to me are winning gold at the North American Roller
