In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, “The Great Gatsby”, there are many important parts that are key to the end of the story. At the end of this novel, Gatsby, who is a primary character, gets killed. Gatsby did not die for no reason, there had to have been a reason for his death. In the book, we learn that Wilson, another character, killed Gatsby. The question is, who is at fault for the death of not only Gatsby, but even Myrtle? I think that the true cause of the death of these two characters is Gatsby himself. Furthermore, in the story, the reader can notice how desperate Gatsby is to get back with Daisy and reunite. Gatsby is obviously trying to meet Daisy, who he has not seen in five years.
