It was a hard time for people in the 1950’s. People were either having fun or worrying about the loved ones in war. Lives and societies were changed for the best or for the worst. Not one person knew how the end of the wars would turn ot. Everyone hoped for the best. Ray Bradbury, the author of Fahrenheit 451, shows the world the rough patches the society went through, and the hard times. In the dystopia, Bradbury uses paradoxes to show how absurd the society had become. For example , “Later, going to sleep, he would feel the fiery smile still gripped by his face muscles, in the dark (Bradbury 4).” While going into the book, it is understood that Bradbury is upset with how the society is
