I think the Odyssey and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind are very similar because they both show perseverance. The Odyssey is about Odysseus trying to get home. In The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind, Will has to try to figure out how to end starvation in his town.The way Odysseus showed perseverance in many different ways. My first reason is, Odysseus is on a journey after the Trojan war, when Calypso fell in love with him and kept him captive for the next seven years, He then manages to break out of the island and start his journey overseas

Will and his family were out of money. They barely ate, sometimes they went 2-3 days without eating. His family couldn't afford to keep him in school. “Don't insult me today just because I'm poor, you don't know what my future holds!”
This shows strength because Will is trying to show everyone that he believes in the ability of doing great things one day even if he is starting from the bottom.
Will he do great things? The answer is yes! Will learned so much from his friends and people who tried to bring him down. He shared his story to tell everyone that you can do it even if you're starting from the bottom.
Once Will got kicked out of school his friend offered to give him some of the books that he had at home and that's how Will figured out how to build a windmill “No matter how foreign and lonely the world outside, the books always reminded me of home.”
