Today’s contemporary world is characterized by high competition that presents a need for labor force with effective basic life skills for them to succeed (Kets, 2010). For instance, effective and successful managers must have certain specific competencies that help them to deliver efficiently. An individual’s ability to be conscious about themselves, their personalities, motivations, and competencies, when affected by being able to manage their emotions, weaknesses and have self-control is proof of good leadership (Simmons 2013). I am always seeking new challenges as I enjoy a life of developing solutions to problems. I am passionate about issues of accountability, transparency and inclusivity all geared towards having sustainable and good governance system. In some instances, my patience runs out when people I am dealing with do not deliver as agreed. I tend to believe that failure in whatever I do is solely my responsibility and this sometimes a belief that it is not easy to manage it. There are also numerous areas in my learning style that I can increase upon. At times, if I don’t feel that I understand something, I get disappointed and lean to skip over that certain area. It may be that I try to make the most of and focus too much on what I do right that I give up on problems that do not come to me as simply. I equally feel that my attention to detail can lead to a consuming type of learning style that can stir the water at times. I begin to get small answers despite my strong focus.
