Persuasive Communication It has come to management’s attention that there is a cause for concern in the workplace among the staff. The staff feels they can follow their own rules and not follow business code of conduct. Due to failure of following protocol a lot of complaints and disturbances have arisen. The complaints that are being bought up, names a few different people as the culprit. I have been tasked with coming up with solutions to this problem, and here are my ideas on how we can address the issue. An employee broke this rule a few weeks ago because he knew what the relative was feeling and acted on those feelings. The result did not end up good; he walked into an active crime scene with no back up and could have gotten killed. Following procedure would have kept him and the relative protected; due to not following protocol, I believe this person should receive a final warning or a termination because he put the company and surrounding residents at risk. Another recent event that occurred on premises was when an outside company came in to do a routine follow up (pest control) the procedures are as follows: go to the office and sign out the keys to the buildings, wait for maintenance to accompany you, proceed to buildings, and lock up behind you. The company called for somebody to accompany them but maintenance did not answer so the person proceeded to do it alone. This resulted in him not locking the door behind him and a robbery taking place. The apartment complex is now being held responsible due to the two people not following
