I write my dreams down in small journals. It helps me develop new ideas for stories and characters. One in particular was of a dark future, where martial law had been imposed and the government ruled every aspect of daily life. In the dream, there was a blizzard, and one man was on the run from said government. Why? The man was carrying an artifact they wanted in his satchel. This artifact resembled an egg, and was said to be the key to finding a new life, free from tyranny and the corruption of men. I don't know how he got hold of it. The man trekked, day and night, to keep the artifact out of their hands. He had no destination, and didn't know what to do with the artifact. He didn't know how something so small and seemingly could ever bring about peace, but he did know this: he had to keep it out of their hands. …show more content…

They tell him to stand down and hand over the artifact, but he doesn't. The civilians witnessing this and the government officials are both shocked at his refusal, having never seen someone have the courage to stand up and fight back. Right then, after he refuses to give in, his satchel begins to vibrate. He takes the egg shaped artifact out and holds it, watching its rate of vibration increase significantly with each passing every second, as if something was trying to get out. In a sudden flash of light and burst of energy, a beam of green energy shoots out of the end of this artifact and into the sky. Everyone watches with looks of astonishment on their faces until the beam stops and
