The goal of restorative justice is to help make people whole again. There are many different ways to achieve the goal. There are three different ways that help make a person whole again. The three different ways are community service, restitution, and victim-offender meditation. All these ways help bring peace and make people whole again.
Community Service is one of the best ways to help make people whole again. Community service is voluntary work to help people in particular places area. It is an unpaid work that is intended for social use that requires the offender to do so the offenders don’t have to go to prison. The community service sentence is only used in a low offence charge that only involves looting or even property damaging. Some examples of community service work are picking up trash from the street side, helping pack important living supplies to give to needed families, and much other great work that would bring peace in the community. …show more content…

Victim-offender meditation is agreements made between the offender and the victim to make good again. The way it works is that the offender will repair the suffrage the victim had to go through by asking the offender why he did what he did and to ask the victim for forgiveness. The victim will meet the offender at the prison where he is held. The victim and the offender will then be in a room where the victim is able to ask all the questions to figure out why the offender did the crime. The offender can answer the questions and ask for forgiveness to help bring peace between the offender and the victim making the victim whole again. The victim-offender meditation can also make peace-keeping and will resolve the conflict between the offender and the victim.
