It mainly affects people between the ages 17 and 30 in this case it’s one of the main characters in the novel Of Mice And Men. Schizophrenia is long term mental disorder that affects Lennie's life everyday, it can blur thoughts, emotions, and behavior leading to faulty precipitation, hallucinations, and withdrawal. Through the novel, John Steinbeck puts out information that something is wrong with Lennie but he never states what it is.
