In the play ‘A Christmas Carol ’ the character of Ebenezer Scrooge goes through an amazing transformation over the course of the story. At the beginning of the play, Scrooge is a miserable and cold-hearted man that doesn’t care about the people around him. He is greedy, very independent, and hates the holiday season and the feelings of others.
However, as the play progresses, Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who show him the error of his ways. The Ghost of Christmas Past takes him on a journey through his own past, showing him the events that made his character and led him down the path of selfishness. He is also teaching Scrooge about how money does not bring
