In the book Night, Elie Wiesel and his father were in Nazi concentration camps. Although the Nazis treated them horribly, there were some people who went out of the way to show kindness to Elie. I think this shows that even in the darkest moments there will still be kind people. The three examples of kindness I will use are the young Pole in charge of Elie’s block, the veteran inmates and the food that was given to them. The Young Pole that was in charge of the block Elie lived in was very kind compared to the Nazis.
In Night. People in concentration camps tried to protect each other but struggled very hard to do so. Sometimes, they barely had a chance to begin with. For example, Elie witnessed someone kill himself because they already committed all he had left to taking care of a family member and was stuck. “A terrible thought crossed my mind: What if he had wanted to be rid of his father?
In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, Eliezer Wiesel narrates the legendary tale of what happened to him and his father during the Holocaust. Around europe Jewish people suffered and slaughtered like animals under the Nazi and their concentration camps lived a life of death and horror, but some survived conquering death and abuse, resisting the odds and surviving. One of these people went by the name Elie Wiesel. Wiesel survived the oppression and insurmountable obstacles pushed in front of him by the Nazis because of his undying stamina.
Hope is a helpful tool to push people through the hardest times in life. In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, there are numerous examples of hope helping people and revitalizing their confidence. People used hope to help them through rough times. People hope that friends and family are still alive. Also hope that the Front liberates the camps and frees everyone.
This is the question one must ask themselves when reading Night, for it would seem that Elie lost everything he had to the Holocaust. Having to endure unspeakable cruelty and having to witness the destruction of his faith, of his family,
Elie: Throughout the book we see Elie change from a relatively normal teenage school boy and into a emotionally hardened young man who has become so accustomed to death that he rarely gives it a second thought, even if the person dying was a friend . This change took place because of the tortuous conditions that the Nazi´s subjected him to and that he lost so many family members and friends along the way. My passage shows Elie at a time when he is just starting his journey, yet you can tell that the concentration camps and the Nazi´s have already had a very serious effect on him. ¨He must have died, trampled under the feet if the thousands of men who followed us.
In the span of a lifetime one often faces many adversities that stand within their path. While some challenges will be overcome easily, others will take a lot more tenacity. When in the face of adversity it is key not to give up. One should always strive to persevere through their hardships, no matter how severe they seem to be. Courage is a word that used often or not, has it’s own meaning. Having courage to do the impossible is experienced in our everyday lives without even thinking, such as, taking out the trash, going to school, taking a step onto a unknown street, it happens to us all and can even have a dramatic impact on yourself, your future, and your life. In the book Night courage is experienced every single day of torture. Prisoners, such as Elie, face and fight for their own survival not knowing that their best weapon possessed in their hands was courage. Courage was a weapon, a very powerful weapon that could change your fate in an instant.
Imagine being a young 15 year old boy barely fed, dehydrated and at a camp that was created for the purpose of killing thousands of people and immediately once you arrive losing your mother and sister. Elie shows extreme mental strength during this event, rather than trying to stop it from happening

In the novel, Night, by Elie Wiesel we grasp further learning about the Holocaust through the author's perspective. We're shown what difficulties the Jews, others have faced, and we see how ruthless they're treated . During his experiences in the concentration camps, Elie Wiesel loses faith in his fellow-man and in God.
In the novel Night, the word night contained great significance and has very deep meaning. Elie’s memory of everything in this time period is dark and tragic. It is called Night to show what he felt like during this whole time period, and it felt like one long, painful night to him. Night represents the pain, fear, death, and darkness from Elie’s past. “We stared at the flames in the darkness.
" Physically: Gregor literally crawls into his room, lays down on the floor, and takes his last breath. Mentally: Gregor's family alienates him and is ultimately responsible for Gregor's death through their negligence. Clearly, the bug is Gregor, but Mr. and Mrs. Samsa and Grete treat 'it' as if he was scum. " They were treating him as though he was invisible. They would literally walk past his room every day and attend their family dinners without saying anything to Gregor at all.
