For instance, the film Brokeback Mountain reinforce homophobia through violence, the song "Bad Religion" prolong stereotype sex roles, and the television show Grey's Anatomy strengths the assumption of homosexual parenting. The movie Brokeback Mountain directed by Ang Lee, reinforces and prolongs harmful stereotypes toward the homosexual. The story of a man talks to his taxi driver as if he is a therapist. The man feels overwhelmed by his own issues, thus he did not care if the ride is costly; he leaves the meter running, and requests to drive to streets during rush hour. During the hook section in the lyric, where the driver comforts him by praying for him. The man believes the prayer does no harm to him, however, conflicts his belief. He challenges with the love he has for someone who could never love him back and struggles with the decision. At the end of the section, the man sang sixth times "love me" which relates to the Bible, men are created on the sixth day, but it took seven days to complete a man. Which men fell short of completion thus man is in need of God to be complete (The Holy Bible in Its Original Order, n.d). The six repeats phrase of "love me" stands for the love about himself, while at the end, he says love. This symbolizes the religion he chooses to believe in is the conflict with his identity. The stereotype of this song toward homosexual is that gay men are promiscuous and obsessed with sex. It states in the song that "This unrequited love to me it's nothing but a one-man cult, and cyanide in my Styrofoam cup" (Blonded, 2017). Since the man is used to the unrequited love toward his lover, he is willing to give up his belief.
