The task centered intervention is a collaboration of two different theories one part is based on the psychodynamics theory which is based on the explanation of a person’s personality of the conscious and unconscious mind. This helped the social work practice to evolve and to help plant its roots to the brief interventions that are being used still today. Task Centered intervention is brief but structured and still a systematic approach. It helps the clients to resolves issue that are currently experiencing. This intervention had a problem-solving approach that clients can resolve the issues that they are experiencing. This intervention was the prototype of what we call now days as evidence based practice. This helped the social work practice to be more successful to show the proof that social worker is as professional as psychologist and their fellow colleagues in the field of social services. This type of intervention is solely based on the client and their problems in the living. this is where the client has very strong feelings of wanting to work on a certain problem to which they feel is holding them back from progressing into a positive person. This type of intervention is where the social worker and client are on a level ground, and the social worker is there to help guide them down the road that the client wants, which is down the road of positive outcome. But the limitations are that some client’s will need more help which takes away from this type. Someone the strengths of this invention are based on the client. The client will get out of it what they give into it. The other strength I can see with this intervention that both client and social work, work together on even ground to come up with a plan to approach the issues that have goals based from the client. The therapist is there to guide the client when they need it but the client is the one who is working on the majority of the
