Technological Warfare During World War II
People are often shocked at the advancements in technology during World War II. World War II was a war between two parties: the Axis powers, led by Germany, Italy, and Japan, versus the Allied powers, led by Britain and America. A total of 64 million people perished during World War 2. World War II began in 1939 when Adolf Hitler invaded Poland. Then, while making connections with Stalin and the Soviet Union, he invaded Norway. The Axis conquests of France, Belgium, Denmark, Albania, Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Lithuania, San Marino, and Ukraine came on top of these issues. There are many occurrences throughout the war, such as mass deaths, alliances, and invasions. After all of this, we get into the middle, where things only grow more intense. As a start, America started flying planes over Iwo Jima. Unfortunately, during all of this, Teddy Roosevelt dies. Many people know how World War II ended, with atomic bombings on Japan, but other things were happening alongside this. Germany surrenders after realizing the futility of laboring during the battle of the bulge. Japan follows suit after seeing Germany surrender, and the entire Nazi alliance is disbanded. America was able to rescue 8 million American soldiers from Nazi custody. After Germany admitted defeat, they were stripped of their military, land, and most of their population.
