To Kill A Mockingbird, A story written by Harper Lee.
This story is based in Maycomb Alabama. One of the most racist towns in all of the United States.
This town is petite old and suffocated with a repeating cycle of racism, and discrimination. You may view it on the surface as a small town where everybody knows each other and keeps to their own business. This novel was based around a Georgia town where all its citizens are racist and discriminatory towards many black individuals. Tom Robinson was falsely accused of Raping a white female by the name of Mayella Ewell.
This trial took place in the Maycomb county court after he was to stay in jail for the time being.
During his stay, he was surprisingly approached by multiple men.
Their plan was plain and simple… To kill him, and to let him be a reminder to all the other black citizens nearby.
After the Jail incident, it is a trial.

Another great example is their relationship with Boo Radley. Boo was the kid next door that everybody was scared of because they never saw him. But he wanted to become friends with them, and or get to know them better… so they start sending things to each other through the hole in the tree right outside his house. It over time formed a very strong connection for not seeing each other ever really. And right before his dad patches the hole he gives Scout and Jem wax carvings with features that they didn't even know they had.

One event that is very notable is during Tom Robinson's time in jail a couple of white men tried to kill him. Luckily scout and her family were there to look out for him. Scout that night during that event had seen one of her classmate's dad trying to get to Tom Robinson. She eventually talks the dad out of it and hopefully puts sense into his
