Disney and Toxic Relationships
For over a century, Disney movies have captured the imaginations of children and adults alike, enchanting audiences with their colorful animation, memorable characters, and unforgettable songs. However, upon closer examination, it becomes clear that many of these movies perpetuate problematic messages about love and relationships. In the films Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Enchanted, there are many examples of toxic relationship dynamics, including possessiveness, manipulation, and unhealthy communication that contribute to harmful societal attitudes towards love and romance.
