Examples Of Ugliness In To Kill A Mockingbird

In the book to “To Kill a MockingBird,” there are a lot of themes and lessons throughout the book. One of these lessons is that it shows the ugliness that comes from judging others, however great good can come from deferring judgement until considering things from another point of view. Robinson(Pg 235 chapter 24). In these scenes, Tom is judged by other people based on the color of his skin eventually leading to his death. The second part of the lesson, “Greatness comes from not judging Others,” is shown when Boo Radley saves Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell. The kids didn’t judge

Boo Radley and he ended up saving them. I feel like if they judged him like everyone else in town did, he probably wouldn’t have saved the kids and Scout and Jem could have died. Because they didn’t judge Boo, he turned into a good person in the end.
