Victor should be not trialed for the monster’s crimes but instead for his own. If Victor would have stayed with the monster and taught him how to be like any other human being the monster could have turned out different. There should be some type of punishment for creating a monster and violating the natural law of order. Not only that but by abandoning something that is considered a child and also for crimes that can be charged in court. This is why Victor is to blame for the monster’s crimes and his own. Victor violated natural law by combining parts of multiple human beings to create a monster that he had no regard to how he would behave, resemble or feel. Him giving life to something that was once dead is another reason why the blame was on him. If Victor didn’t create the monster and then abandon it the monster wouldn’t have went on to commit his crimes. In some ways Victor thought of himself as a sort of god after he created the monster and maybe by giving the monster life he thought it would be able to take care of itself. Victor left the monster confused and he was forced to figure out everything by himself. You could compare the monster to little kid in the body of a full grown man, and being neglected by the man who he considers as his father led him to act out. Being all by himself didn’t help the monster develop communication skills so obviously his first experience with people was terrible to the monster and became full of hate and he wanted to seek revenge on Victor.
