In the 1600`s people believed in there were supernatural creatures and people who worshiped the devil. They believed those who worshiped the devil were granted other worldly powers and were called witches. They would do “witch craft” where they would hex the people of the village. In England they that was just starting to wind down in the 1600’s. They ate a lot of yeast at the time, but what they didn’t know was that there was a disease in the yeast where it gave them hallucinations and made their body contort. With the knowledge of possible witch craft this made the perfect storm to start the accusations. The accusations started with the pastor’s daughters who claimed that three women had used devil worship and witch craft to possess them
