Tyson Foods, Inc., who’s headquarters are located in Dakota Dunes, SD and Springdale, Arkansas, is one of the world's largest marketers of poultry, pork and beef, the second-largest food production company (Tyson Foods). The company produces various protein-based products, as well as prepared food products. Observed as the market front-runner in the retail and foodservice markets, Tyson’s innovation continues to yield profits for its stakeholders.

The Cherokee plant, which Tyson Foods leases, has been producing processed meats since 1965. It currently makes deli meats, hams, Canadian bacon, and hot dogs.
