The book of proverbs 3:5 says: Trust the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. “Own understanding” is based upon logic hence dethroning faith and trust in God. Our understanding should be subject to the word of God because; no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord (Proverbs 21:30).
Note the term all in the scripture; trust the lord with all your heart. This deems simple, just another confession but implementing it is an uphill task. Can you trust the lord with all your heart like Abraham to sacrifice his only son, believing God will do a miracle of yet giving him another son? Despite being advanced in years. In reality we hardly trust the lord with all our heart but partially trust him and at the same time divert to trust our logic and our own thinking.
