Exemplification Essay: Grace's Sacrifice?

Grace's mother has just died and she is angry. Grace is upset for two reasons. First of all, her father and grandad have died also, so she has to live with her grandma, who she does not like anyway. Secondly, she has to move away from which she thought was her forever family. (Mrs. Greene and her best friend Lacey.) Grace was just beginning to learn more about her family and more about what happened to them. She and Lacey conjured up what they call Plan B, where Grace acts mean and annoying so her granny has no choice but to send her back to Mrs. Greene's house. But when Mrs. Greene comes to visit, she notices that Grace is not adjusting well so she arranges for Lacey and Grace to only call on Saturdays, not during the school week, so Grace can stop living in the past and focus on the present. This has a negative effect on Grace and she feels lost and forgotten
On the ride to her grandmother's house she spotted a gray horse a few days later she fed her an apple. Rubbing her stomach, she feels a kick. The horse is pregnant! After this discovery, she decides to call Lacey. After nobody picks up, she feels like they've forgotten about her already. That night, Grace had a dream that her deceased mother was a crane. Grace learns more about her dad and grandad. She also got a new bra. Later that day, Grace lied to her grandmother about going to Jo's house and actually goes to a restaurant named Spoons' Souperie, and when her gran found out, she almost had a heart attack, not knowing where Grace was. The next day at school, she and Jo decide to skip school so Grace can see the fountain her mother built when she was 16. When they returned to school, they got detention. They had to make cookies, and they were not able to eat
