Overall I am pleased with how the program went. In terms of positives I was able to prescribe an exercise program that my client was able to adhere to and seemed to find thoroughly enjoyable based on her feedback. In terms of successful aspects of the program, I believe that the results are a positive indication of such successes. The results show improvements in the areas which the client had specified as areas she wanted to improve on as mentioned by her goals. The client had indicated in the initial assessment that she disliked yoga, and therefore I did not want to include this as an exercise to improve the client’s wellbeing but rather prescribed breathing exercises which have been evidenced by the ACSM to help with relaxation. However in prescribing breathing exercises instead, the client also struggled to find this as stress reliving exercises. After the client’s first week of performing the program, it became apparent that such exercises were increasing her stress rather than acting as a stress reducer and therefore was decided to take out of the program which the client happily agreed to. This is a lesson for when designing a program in the future, to really communicate with my client in the initial assessment phase in order to get a clear understanding of what they find as stress reliving exercises. In order to personalise the program for someone in the future who would also want to improve their wellbeing I would inquire which exercises they have found to be effective in reliving their stress in the past or think may be beneficial in reducing their stress and work from
