Research and describe how technological advances have increased knowledge of the variety of prokaryotic organisms.
Over the course of time, there have been a variety of technological advances which have shed light on the existing variety of prokaryotic organisms. Microscopes have given us the opportunity to observe structures that are of a smaller scale, such as prokaryotes, which are small as well as unicellular. The advancement of microscope technology saw the development of electron microscopes: they allow us to observe the internal structures of prokaryotic cells. Without electron microscopes, we wouldn’t be able to view finer details such as organelles and DNA.
As well as the microscope, the discovery of chemical analysis has

Bacteria can be spotted in majority of places, however, they can be there for one of two differing reasons: dangerously, such as when they cause infection, or beneficially, for example through the process of chemical breakdown (fermentation).
Bacteria can be either aerobic or anaerobic organisms. If anaerobic, oxygen is not an important component for growth. In fact, a portion of bacteria species are classified as aerotolerant, which refers to the understanding that oxygen isn’t used by the particular bacteria, however, these cells have evolved to tolerate its presence. However, if aerobic, bacteria thrives off oxygen and it is considered a requirement for existence.
Nitrogen-fixing bacteria are microorganisms which combine nitrogen with hydrogen or oxygen and as a result, develop compounds that can be used by plants for growth. Their presence can be within the soil or in the root of the plant. The process of taking away the gaseous form of nitrogen and turning it solid is named nitrogen fixation, which is one amongst the most vital biochemical processes for the Earth. Nitrogen-fixing bacteria is a converter of 90% of the nitrogen that plants use, which gives an idea of just how important the operation of nitrogen fixation
