An independent government agency known as The Committee on Public Information was formed as a way to influence the public’s opinion which they did by using propaganda. There are many different forms of propaganda and many of them were used in WWI which author Joseph Joe Kaminski further discusses in “World War I and Propaganda Poster Art: Comparing The United States and German Class”. The answer to getting the public’s attention was by using different tactics to intrigue citizens; “The use of propaganda art was essential in galvanizing opinions and reshaping ideas during WWI” (Kaminksi, 2).

An example to how The WWI affected the U.S., is how the war created a domino affect on the civilians and people of the land. For instance, a large number of America's men were serving abroad in the war, and along these lines not able to maintain their occupations in the manufacturing plants. With a specific end goal to fill the opportunities, organizations permitted ladies to work in already male just employments. Ladies started rushing to processing plants, and working in commercial enterprises with a specific end goal to bolster their families while their male relatives were away at war. In the times of substantial death, political rivalries and staggered economies, World War I and the Great depression created long-lasting and influential effects on the world. While these repercussions affected all the countries, some suffered more than others. Moreover, the consequences led to the rise of new political governments throughout the world. After World War I and the Great Depression, some European countries turned to fascism while others stayed democratic because of strong leadership, economic standings and unemployment, and disillusionment with democracy. World War I and the Great Depression fractured many countries into separate pieces.
World War I, known as the war to end all wars at the time, had massive impacts on the U.S. Soldiers that were being sent off into the battlefield not knowing whether they would return home dead or alive. Soldiers fought, slept, and lived in trenches for the entirety of the war. Although, soldiers were not the only ones experiencing poor conditions during the war Citizens, and even countries, were affected by the war in various ways. Citizens in the U.S were stripped of their right of freedom of speech under the first amendment. WWI caused a large epidemic in the U.S regarding health safety.
The progressive reform that had the greatest impact on American society was the 18th Amendment which made the producing, transporting, or selling of alcohol prohibited. It all began when the Anti-Saloon party gained an advantage during World War I. Women who began these reforms gained support because of their influence on the workforce. If the women had not helped by working men’s jobs during the war, it would not have been as easy. Another aspect of the war that contributed to the amendment's publication was the limited resources available. Since alcohol was made of food sources, many saw it as a waste of food supply that could have been used for “our boys at war”.
With its growth in world affairs, world war 1 was bound to happen. The war drastically changed America in numerous ways. In 1920 women could vote, people had more interest in the future, and jazz was the new music (Section 5 script). But it also negatively impacted America through the Red Scare. In 1917 Russia had the Bolshevik Revolution and the country went under the control of Communists.
In World War 1 a lot changed for the United States. One things that changed was their foreign policy. We know it changed because they went from a period of isolationism to being involved in world affairs. We are going to look at how the war changed American society, why they entered the war, and the foreign policy change. During World War 1 a lot changed about American society.

World War I brought many changes to society and to foreign policy. For example, women were at work when men were out fighting the war. Germany did many things to make the USA to enter the war after being threaten by Germany. In World War I we were very isolated to other countries. I will be talking about these three topics today.
