The Diary Of Anne Frank is a primary source that tells us about Anne as a jew going through the struggles of WW3. In 1955, Anne's diary was adapted into a play that was directed by Garson Kanin. The play gives us chronological events following what is written in Anne’s Diary such as the nazi persecution of Jews in Amsterdam, causing the frank family to go into hiding with the Van-Daans, difficulties of the attic hideout with conflicts that may come with hiding, and the aftermath of the wart. the events portrayed in the play The Diary Of Anne Frank align with historical events and portray them in a way that effectively shows how the characters respond and bond with one another over it.

For the survivors, it was almost impossible to return to normal life after this event, many returned to their homes to find that they had been looted or taken by others. Many of the survivors ended up in camps set up in western Europe known as displaced persons camps. Here they waited to be immigrated around the world. But it rarely went smoothie for Jews, persecution ended up killing around six million European Jews, and 5 million prisoners of war. So a lot of people had lost or had broken families. Some families hadn't been able to find one another through all the concentration camps. We see this in act 2 of the Play The Diary Of Anne Frank, where Mr. Frank states, “Each time our train would stop…at a siding, or a crossing…we’d all get out and go from group to group…Where were you? Were you at Belsen? At Buchenwald? At Mauthausen? Is it possible that you knew my wife? Did you ever see my husband? My son? My daughter?” this helps us to understand how people were trying to find one another during the aftermath of WW2, many families spent years trying to find one another and this is how Mr. Frank found out about his wife's death, yet he still hoped that the others were safe and soon found out about their deaths in the concentration camps as
