Reading: Writing: Speaking & Listening: -At this age, children should be enjoying looking at books/printed materials and pictures with familiar people, they like pointing with their finger. They should interested in handling different textures/books. -Children/babies this age aren’t able to write yet, but their writing skills develop later on. Listening: -Children this age should be able to turn their head to where a sound is coming from. Will be able to listen and respond to sounds of peoples voices. Will also quietens or alerts to the sounds of others speech. At this age, young children will look at a person who is talking to them but will look elsewhere if the persons stops talking.
