Explain The Leadership Qualities Of A Good COM Team Co-Chair

Describe the leadership qualities you possess that would make you a good COM Team Co-Chair to a first-year student. The leadership qualities that I possess that would make me a good COM Team co-chair include good communication skills, passion, and being a team player. A leadership quality that will help me excel as a COM Team co-chair is good communication skills. It will be important that I have good communication with my fellow COM Team Co-chairs in order to plan and organize the class of 2027 orientation week. In addition, good communication will be very important when relaying information to the incoming M1s. Being able to keep the incoming M1s informed of upcoming events and what is happening during each stage will better help them.

I am signing up to be a COM Team Co-chair because I truly want to help ease the incoming M1s into medical school and help plan as stress-free of an orientation week as possible. I remember how scared I was to start medical school and having the COM Team CO-chairs there for support and guidance was invaluable. In addition, I remember how influential orientation week was for me in helping me to prepare to start medical school. I want to help plan an orientation that is not only fun for the incoming M1s, but also provides them with a strong foundation to begin their medical school journey. Lastly, a leadership quality that will help me excel as a COM Team co-chair is being a team player. This leadership skill will serve me well as a COM Team co-chair because I will need to work closely with my fellow COM Team co-chairs in order to plan, organize, and implement the class of 2027 orientation week. Being a team player will mean that I actively listen to my fellow COM Team co-chairs and encourage group

I remember how stressful and scary the thought of starting medical school was, but having supportive COM TEAM Co-chair leaders made all the difference. I want to be a COM TEAM Co-chair that gives advice, guidance, and support to the incoming M1s. Additionally, I want to ease the stress and the burden of starting medical school for the class of 2027 and help plan an orientation that provides them with a strong foundation to start medical school. This is something that I am passionate about because to this day I believe that the guidance that I received the summer before starting medical school, as well as, the orientation week, made starting my medical school journey a positive experience.
