Triumph of the Will is a 1935 propaganda film directed by Leni Riefenstahl. It documents the Nazi rallies in Nuremberg at the time. Adolf Hitler commissioned the film, so the film's predominant theme is not very surprising; Germany is returning as a great power, with Hitler himself as the leader who will bring glory to the nation. What is fascinating about this film is the way it cloaks fiction with fact to construct a strong influence. Triumph of the Will was successful due to the way it obscured the boundary between propaganda and documentary.
Even before 1925, Hitler already had anti-Semitic views, and did have some intention to kill the Jews under the functionalist view. He operated as what historians such as Browning and Mommsen call, ‘the weak dictator’, and did not use the full potential of his power, which saw lower ranked Nazis play a vital role towards the creation of the Holocaust. Ian Kershaw’s book, “Hitler”, reinforced the functionalist view of Hitler. Kershaw wrote: “The signs are that ‘Crystal Night’ had a profound impact upon Hitler…he had harboured feelings which fused fear and loathing into a pathological view of Jews as the incarnation of evil threatening German survival”. Goebbels’ plan of enacting a pogrom against the Jews was successful in pushing for violent action.
The rise of the Nazism caused life to change politically, economically, and socially for the Jewish people. It changed politically because they began to lose rights. Their lives changed economically because they were forced to leave their jobs and the Nazis took all their money and belongings. The social life of Jews were also affected because of unfair propaganda. Parents and schools were teaching the kids that Jews were bad so they were shunned and made fun of.
Hitler is the one to blame. Hitler is the number one person to blame for the Holocaust. Hitler was an awful man who was inhuman. He killed millions of people because of their religion, family's religion, and even some were deemed undesirable. Hitler’s army shared no mercy for people even children.
What horrible, unwitting dead human would you eat first? If I was a flesh-eating monster, in other words a ghoul, I would most definitely be named Adolf Hitler. He would be appealing because he created tons of meals for the starving ghouls of Ghulheim. This evil man was responsible for the deaths of over seven million innocent people. Adolf Hitler was the person behind the Holocaust.
When people begin to think of themselves no longer as individuals, but as a cog in a machine, then they lose their sense of responsibility for their actions. The film “Triumph of the Will” by Leni Riefenstahl highlights Hitler as Fuhrer as it takes the individuality, and thus responsibility, away from the German people. “Triumph of the Will” was produced in 1935 to highlight the events of the 1934 Nazi Congress. The Nazi party was growing in influence and Hitler used the Congress as a method to overemphasize the support he had from the general populace. The success of the film in this regard is attested to by the numerous rewards it has received since.
The Columbian Exchange was a time of trade between the Old World (Europe) and the New World (Americas). This event occurred in 1492, when Columbus began his first voyage between the two worlds. The exchange brought drastic change for the Europeans and the Native Americans. There were four main components exchanged throughout this time including: diseases, plants, animals, and people. This event was necessary in history because it opened up trade ways between the two worlds and helped modernize the economy of the two.
In the past, innocent people got persecuted by the hands of other individuals because of hatred. These terrible actions started because of the pure hatred, lack of knowledge, and people didn’t fight back. Since, this happened people have lost their lives for example 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and shooting that is going on. “If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate”. Nazi ideology started Propaganda causing discrimination and hate which justified genocide, which led 6.3 millions Jews killed.
Adolf Hitler is widely considered to be the man behind the Holocaust, but Top SS officers were also responsible which organized malicious plans for Hitler and the Nazi force. Minor Nazi soldiers are also responsible for following brutal orders without question which led to the deaths of many innocent people which is now known as the Holocaust. Besides Adolf Hitler Top SS officers and Minor Nazi soldiers were the most responsible for the Holocaust. Top SS officers were responsible because they designed plans for Hitler to torture and even kill innocent Jews and other minorities. Minor Nazi soldiers are also responsible for the Holocaust because they used excessive force and followed Hitler’s orders without thinking twice.
Over the course of World War Two, over six million Jewish people were murdered. Killing factories known as concentration camps were spread throughout Europe, and worked tirelessly to exterminate Jews. The deadliest of all was known as Auschwitz, and it is where a fifteen year old Elie Wiesel was taken in 1944. He remained in concentration camps until liberation in 1945. By the end of World War Two, Wiesel had lost his faith in God and humanity after experiencing unspeakable horrors, such as the execution of children and the death of his father.
I do not believe that there is a future to fascism. As time goes on people have wanted more of a say in their government, and fascism would not lead to that. A system with fascism does not ever work, and it could lead to corruption and the killings on many people. Adolf Hitler is one of the main examples of what fascism could lead you to. He led a genocide in his own country that killed jews, political prisoners, the disabled, and homosexuals.
Similar to the first World War, World War II was a dispute between powers and or countries and involved the death of million of civilians and militants of those disputing countries. There are many events that have made World War II significant and i will show you in this essay. World War II started basically because of one of the most known killer in the world Adolf Hitler. His role in the Holocaust is greatly significant because of the way that he punished, treated, and through of jews using concentration camps. In concentration camps jews were gassed, imprisoned and forced to do things that they didn't want to like forced labor.
In the year of 1889, a boy by the name of Adolf Hitler was born in Austria. Adolf would later go on to become the most infamous Chancellor the likes of which Germany had never seen before. Adolf Hitler was born to Alois and Klara Hitler. Him and his father fought a lot on what Adolf was to do when he got older.
In a society where discrimination and prejudice continue to persist, embracing diversity may often be challenging for some individuals who fear social rejection. Similarly, self acceptance can sometimes be even more difficult to embrace as a minority. In the graphic novel, American Born Chinese, author Gene Luen Yang, emphasized that attempting to conforming to society in order to fit in will ultimately lead to a rejection of your true self. Yang’s novel ties in with the american religious experience by revealing that, self acceptance is critical in order to mature as an individual and truly appreciate the culture and religion that we are apart of. While this may be hard at times as a result of the ignorance and prejudice of society, self acceptance
“Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth”---John F. Kennedy. What is conformity? Conformity is similarity of the actions and behaviors. The Wave was a recreation of WWII when Hitler was trying to wipe out the whole race of Jews. In The Wave, Mr. Ben Ross was in the place of Adolf Hitler, so everyone listened to him because he had dictatorship power.
