One of the first steps involved in investigating a cyberstalking case is to properly conduct an interview with the victim. During this process, we need to make certain that we acquire all the information needed from the victim, so that we can determine that there is proof of cyberstalking. In addition, this information can be used to cultivate victimology. The objective of this primaryevidence gathering stage is to confirm that a crime has been committed and to acquireampledata to move forward with the investigation. Another step involved in investigating a cyberstalking caseis the interviewing of witnesses. A witness is always a crucial asset to an officer.
