The typology of events denotes the typological correspondence of the events of the Old and New Testament as anti-types and types. The example given below is a typical example for this typological motif.

This incarnation was intended from the beginning of the creation and since it is the fulfilment of and apex of Creation, all things and especially humanity are created in the image of Christ and point to Christ. Incarnation in this sense is the ultimate revelation and complete revelation and all creation prior to it should point towards the revelation in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we can find the traces of Christ throughout the creation. This indeed makes created realities themselves typological. The Malankara liturgy prayers reflect this understanding and therefore the composers of the prayers were able to see types of Christ in the creation. This idea is very well explained by Ephrem, who says that, “God has filled creation with traces, inadequate yet valid pointers to himself; he has given man a mind and the faculty of language which can appreciate these pointers, express them and follow them by the light of gift of faith.” The following liturgical prayer also validates this typological
