Christianity has also been able to offer some explanations to air pollution. The Bible authoritatively claim that God is the creator of everything. This includes the universe, earth and atmosphere. The Bible explains this fact saying: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being” . The book of Genesis, also echo this truth but further opine that God created the earth and place man in charge to care for it. God’s command over man according to the book of Genesis was that man should “be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it”. Some scholars have interpreted this verse as giving man every right to exploit the environment. However, some Christians see themselves as being responsible for the world that was created by God of which they must be careful on how they exploit it. Since man is one of God’s creations, then human being activities should be under authority or dominion of God. Thus, from the perspective of God’s authority and control, people and nature must submit to God’s plans and ways. The book of Genesis claimed that God originally gave Adam the job of dressing and keeping the garden, and He gave Adam Eve to help him. Adam and Eve sinned against God by eating the forbidden fruits. Then God placed a curse on man saying “because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life . This verse of the scripture can also explain while human attempt to exploit the earth is turning back with negative consequences with problems like air pollution, diseases’ and
