One or Two State Solution
The people of Israel And Palestine have been fighting for many years, yet a one or two state solution remains elusive. The Israelites were the first tribe to settle in Palestine around 1000 B.C. They believed that the land was given to them by God. As the years progressed, they became a powerful, strong, and very successful trip. As the Israelites grew in number and expanded their territory, they decided to split into two different kingdoms called Judah and Israel. The people of Judah soon were called Jewish and their kingdom was destroyed. About ten years later, the Jews were allowed to return to their land, but when they came back, the Romans had already settled in Palestine. They were not able to get back their land, but many people managed to find a place to live there. Then the Christians came into Palestine and pushed the Jews out, starting the Diaspora (Gallagher 8). When the diaspora started, a group of people formed called Zionists. The Zionists fought for the Jews and helped them raise money to get their homeland back. This would be a very successful solution because the fighting would not be as severe, and the people would be separated. The Palestinians would have also gotten what they wanted, which is freedom from the Israelis. Another reason this would be a better solution is because the refugee problem would be solved. All the people who did not have a home before, would have a place to call home ("What Will Happen If the Palestinians Get Their Own State?"). The two state solution is clearly the best solution because there would be less fighting, the refugee problem would be solved, and the Palestinians would have a
